About 80 people took part in the first noborder camp in Timisoara, Romania. The participants came from countries such as: Britain, Ireland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Poland. There were local activists from Timisoara and Craiova. Despite some initial harassment by the police, it was possible to organise a demonstration for freedom of movement and against deportations in Timisoara (the first such big demo in that city). The atmosphere of the camp was very pleasant and relaxed, and helped to make ties with the Romanian activist scene. Some workshops were made, touching practical and theorical aspects of the global struggle against capitalism, migration control and exploitation.
